Gabe Woolley’s Biography

My name is Gabe Woolley. I teach 6th grade English at Pioneer Prep. I moved from Florida to Arizona in 2021 to teach after taking a break from the classroom for a year to be a private full time manny (male nanny). I have a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. I was raised in Oklahoma almost my whole life. My mission at Pioneer is to create a classroom environment where children feel safe and calm. I think it is important for children to learn by doing and for them to be able to find reasons to read and write about their everyday life activities and dreams beyond the four walls of a room. I believe that the family is the most important contributor to a child’s life and that teachers are to support the child and family through education, communication, and community practices. I believe a growth mindset is a best practice and feedback is what drives everyone to success if they choose to utilize it. I believe that children should be held to a standard through love and that they are capable of amazing things.
